Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Haslingden

Job Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Up to £22,000pa, based on skills, experience and qualifications

About The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a strong and forward-thinking Finance department as an Accounts Assistant. You will be joining a small supportive team whilst having the independence to work alone in a fast-paced environment. You will be encouraged to challenge the norm and deliver excellence within your role, with the support to achieve your own goals.

Here’s What You Can Expect To Be Doing:

  • Assist Credit Control by sending out statements and copy invoices / POD’s
  • Manage and clear unallocated cash
  • Call customers to chase debt
  • Work with Credit Control to manage customers on hold
  • Check customer invoices to post / upload
  • Maintain various finance spreadsheets
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Review of invoices on hold and clear in a timely manner
  • Assisting with month end reports for KPI’s
  • Actioning post, emails, scanning
  • Supporting the finance team as required

When You’ll Be Working:

You will be working a 37.5 hour week between Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm.

  • Analytical with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self motivated and can work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Determined with excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt whilst achieving deadlines

You Will Possess:

  • Experience working within a finance position (Essential)
  • ​Strong MS Excel skills – including regular use of formulas (Essential)
  • Minimum of GCSE Maths Grade C/4 or above (Desirable)
