Job Title: Ad Operations Executive

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; 09:00 – 17:30, Mon – Fri

The aim of this role is to support clients and channel teams with all aspects of technical onboarding for new clients – establishing tracking requirements and the successful and accurate installation, and ongoing maintenance, of required tracking tags. The role will also involve supporting existing clients, ensuring a consistent and ‘best practice’ approach to tracking is delivered by the Company to all their clients. Also that they remain ahead of industry developments such as Apple’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) 2.2 and Google’s Parallel Tracking.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Meeting agreed response SLAs aligned with the internal support process
  • Completing client briefs to the required specifications
  • Identify key upsell opportunities when working on support requests or onboarding
  • Working closely with the Implementation team to ensure the seamless on-boarding of new clients
  • Working with the Ad Operations Manager to create an industry-leading measurement provision for their clients
  • New clients:
    • Attend internal client sales handover meetings, to gain a full understanding of client expectations for the work/strategy the Company will work to deliver
    • Liaise with the respective channel teams to map all tagging/tracking requirements (conversions, audience, custom variables, etc), producing relevant documentation for these requirements
    • Set up clients on any required technology, e.g. creating Advertisers within Google’s Campaign Manager and ensuring set up and access meet with the specified requirements
    • Aid in the delivery of the measurement onboarding process which currently includes, but is not limited to, the audit of The Google Marketing Platforms and Tag Management Solution containers, production of reports on the suitability of the set up compared to the requirements, and recommendations for any remedial work required
    • Liaise at all times with the relevant client contact to ensure 100% clarity on what work is required during the onboarding/implementation process
    • Review, or implement, and test client’s implementation of recommended changes to tracking set up, ensuring they meet the requirement
  • Existing clients:
    • Provide support for the existing channel teams, helping identify and troubleshoot any tracking or tagging issues they may be experiencing
    • Maintain up-to-date with the latest industry news and updates regarding tracking, working with the Ad Operations Manager to:
      • Agree the Company’s response to any changes
      • Coordinate and deliver any work on client accounts required as a result
      • Update working practices to reflect the changes and ensure they are reflected in the on-going working process
    • Develop the capacity to deliver Ad Ops functions through the Company Network, including developing appropriate task templates, training/onboarding material and helping to recruit and train your colleagues as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • The ability to project manage, either through specific training or through gained experience
  • Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail
  • The ability to talk about, and translate, complex technical issues to internal and external stakeholders in both technical and non-technical speak
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Working knowledge of the online Advertising ecosystem, concepts and commercial relationships preferable
  • Basic knowledge of The Google Marketing Platform, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager preferable
  • Working knowledge of HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, Flash, and ad-serving solutions is desirable but not compulsory

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
