Job Title: Assembly Engineer
Location: Presteigne, Powys

Job Type: Permanent, Full time 40 hours per week.
The company is seeking to recruit an individual to join the existing Assembly Test team. The team are responsible for soldering and assembly of components onto printed circuit boards and a “pass fail” test of assembled boards.
The role will consist of the hand assembly and testing against customer specifications of microwave frequency printed circuit boards.
Full training in the use of soldering and test equipment will be provided however an IPC soldering qualification would be an advantage as would experience in the use of a test equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hand soldering of components onto circuit boards.
- Testing assembled boards against “pass fail” criteria on a VNA
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings.
- Follow written, pictorial and verbal working instructions.
- Ability to clearly communicate with team leader and technical staff regarding any issues encountered.
- Manual inspection of circuits including the use of viewers.
- Updating and use of company’s ERP system.
