Job Title: Business Development Manager HVAC / Building Services Market

Location: London & South East Regions

Salary: £45k – £55k + Uncapped Bonus Scheme

The company is part of the world’s leading manufacturer of textile based ventilation solutions within the HVAC market. They design / supply / install solutions over a wide range of different sectors covering offices, pharma, food, logistics, storage, manufacture, sports and education.

Job Role:

The UK office based in Southampton is seeking a multi skilled person in Business Development & Specification Sales Management to cover London & South East Area within the M25, along with Kent / Surrey / Essex / Suffolk and up to Norfolk.

This position will be key to an aggressive expansion policy of the group within the UK to further increase product awareness. You will be working closely with Managing Director & Technical Director to help further the growth of the business.

The role has scope for expanding into a UK wide development role for the right person, and progression to Director level over time.

As a Business Development & Area Specification Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Developing strong new business relationships with consultants / contractors / end users
  • You will be solely responsible for generating your own leads and creating a sales strategy to achieve target
  • Growing quotations / sales within a defined region and maintain a solid pipeline for the business
  • The focus will be on new business, however there will be times where further development of existing customer base will come into play
  • Selling bespoke technical solutions to consultants to gain tight specifications, as well as direct to contractors and end users
  • CPD seminars to consultants for education and to further build relations will play a key part

You will be expected to have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven track record in Business Development
  • Technical / Specifications Sales
  • HVAC / Refrigeration building services experience with 5+ years as a minimum in the industry
  • Technical understanding of air movement
  • Highly motivated and determination to reach targets in a demanding role
  • Enthusiastic, structured, with excellent interpersonal skills a must
  • Substantial existing contacts in a similar field would be a distinct advantage
  • This is a home-based position, so location and easy access to main centres of activity will be relevant
