Job Title: Chef
Location: Benfleet, Essex.
Salary: Negotiable
Job type: Permanent – Full Time. Min 35 hrs p/w.
Based at Boyce Hill Golf Club, however, will also be expected to work at external catering events which can be anywhere in a 30-mile radius.
Will be occasionally expected to work a flexible rota, which will include evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays etc.

The Role:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting food to the standard expected.
- Assisting with the management & maintenance of health and safety & food hygiene practices.
- Monitoring portion and waste control.
- Working individually and as a team.
- Managing food purchasing and rotation.
- Interacting with customers.
- Operating a till and handling cash.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- A real passion for cooking high quality dishes.
- Experience of food safety and hygiene laws, health and safety and allergen regulations.
- Approachable & Good communication skills.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Can do attitude.
- Flexible, positive and adaptable team player.
- Reliable & Trustworthy.
- Able to work under pressure.
Extra Information:
- Extra hours worked [up to 5] will be banked for quieter periods of the year.
- Paid weekly via bacs transfer (Fridays).
- Full uniform provided (except shoes) to be laundered & ironed by the employee.
- Employees will be expected to use their own transportation.
