Job Title: Cloud Operations Technician

Location: Midlands

Salary: £29,500 – £33,200 dependent on level of experience

Seeking a personable and talented professional to join our progressive HAYNE Cloud team, taking part with the day-to-day cloud operations and implementations within a small team, ensuring a professional and consistent approach to the service management of customer solutions.

What will make you excel in the Role:

As the successful Cloud Operations Technician, you will have at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role within an Azure environment and as a minimum hold a valid SC-900 or AZ-104 certification; consideration will be given to any candidate without Azure knowledge that has at least 3 years’ experience in server operations and a transferable skillset.

The Candidate:

  • Windows Server administration
  • Azure IaaS administration
  • Familiar with Active Directory (AD DS/AADDS/DNS/GPO)
  • Backup & Recovery operations
  • Network Troubleshooting (LAN,WAN & VPN)

Desirable experience and skillset:

  • Microsoft Certifications: M365 Fundamentals MS-900, MS-100, Azure Fundamentals AZ-900, Azure Administration (AZ-104)
  • Power Automate / Logic Apps / Data Factory
  • Agile/Lean DevOps or Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to ITIL v4 service management
  • Microsoft 365 administration & security
  • Exposure to Cyber security or Information Security standards
  • Experience working in a managed services environment

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Working with the cloud operations team to maintain customer environments
  • Perform routine operational checks; responding to issues and escalating where necessary
  • Working with the team to ensure the security, stability and availability of customer cloud solutions; this includes performance and capacity planning
  • Assist with upgrading, installing, and configuring monitoring solutions
  • Providing 2nd line cloud support to the Helpdesk team
  • Working with the operations team to continually improve and refine cloud operations processes, using automation where possible
  • Assist with maintaining documentation
  • Proactively monitor infrastructure, systems, networks and processes
  • Some on-call/shift work to support the cloud operations team e.g. out of hours patching
  • Other duties and responsibilities as dictated by the operations manager
