Job Title: Company Accountant

Location: Hull

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience + Pension

Job type: Full-time, Permanent

We are a leading regional IT Solutions Provider and Sage Accredited Business Partner based in Hull. We are looking for an experienced Company Accountant to join our growing company.

This is a “hands on” position, requiring the successful candidate to be equally comfortable with some day-to-day bookkeeping duties as well as the production of Management Accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of financial reports
  • Preparation of accurate, relevant, and timely monthly management accounts
  • Cashflow + Budget Forecasting
  • Managing the Sales and Purchase Ledgers
  • Banking Activities
  • Any ad-hoc report requests
  • Completing quarterly VAT returns
  • Mentoring and supporting junior finance staff
  • Managing and developing financial systems and policies
  • Creating and implementing business strategies to generate company value
  • Liaise with senior stake holders across sales, marketing and IT presenting financial information to none finance areas.

Key Requirements:

We are seeking someone who can hit the ground running, ideally a seasoned FC. The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role within a small, services based business environment
  • Flexible attitude, happy to carry out transactional duties to provide holiday cover if required
  • IT Literate ideally with experience of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of Sage200 Accounts beneficial
  • Ability to work autonomously, using their own initiative
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise with excellent time management skills
  • Results/deadline orientated with the emphasis on accuracy and quality

The successful candidate would be required to work on a full time basis, predominantly from our covid safe offices in Hull. Flexible home working will be an option.
