A bit about us:
Microcement is an extremely versatile product which is beginning to enter a mass market in the UK. It can be applied by hand trowel to most surfaces, giving a beautiful, seamless finish for floors, bathrooms, worktops and more. Working across the Southwest including Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Hampshire and South Wales, we have grown over the last few years and are now looking to expand further.
The Position:
We are looking for 1 or 2 people to come and join us as trainee applicators. Starting salary is £18,000, with an initial probationary period of 6 months. We expect wages to increase at intervals, in line with experience and responsibility, to a region of £30,000+. Join us as we continue our expansion – installing microcement finishes for both residential and commercial environments. Work will vary between our workshop and sites – both locally and further afield. You will be prepared to occasionally stay away and have some longer days due to travelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing microcement finishes for both residential and commercial environments
- Working in the workshop and on sites both locally and further afield
- Completing necessary training to become a skilled microcement installer
- Communicating effectively with both clients and the team
- Completing work in line with clients’ needs
- Following health and safety procedures
Key Requirements:
- Experience with a trowel desirable
- Great communication skills
- Ability to deal with clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Have good numerical ability
- Keen eye for detail
- Desire to deliver quality
- Physically fit
- Long term view of becoming self-reliant and potentially running site work
