We are looking for a practical and resourceful self-starter to fill the role of Field Service Engineer within the TYDE business unit.

In this role, no two days will be the same. You will be working remotely across the entire UK, travelling to both domestic & commercial customer sites. The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to working hours and days to ensure installations, fault finding, repairs and site assessments are undertaken to a high standard of work, resulting in great customer service.

Full product training will be provided as well as a company van, phone, laptop and the necessary tools however all applicants must have a full, clean driver’s license due to the nature of this role.

The role

  • Investigate all off-site technical and quality issues
  • Install, maintain and survey a wide range of plumbing and sanitaryware products
  • Examine and report any product defects to the wider business
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation
  • Complete paperwork accurately and on time
  • Provide technical phone support for internal and external customers

The ideal candidate

  • Must be able to manage tight deadlines
  • Previous experience in a Field Service Engineering or Technician role / repairing or installing plumbing products, sanitaryware, electronic taps and sensors control systems.
  • Previous experience in electrical fault finding or some form of Electronics/Electrical engineering
  • Comfortable working out on the road from a van or car
  • Good people / customer service skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written skills are required to produce detailed site visit reports and communicate effectively to customers
