Job Title: Final Finisher / Fabricator / Assembly
Location: Dorking, Surrey
Salary: Competitive, dependant on experience
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (38 hours per week)
The Company is a well-established manufacturer and renowned experts in precision machining, bonding and finishing engineering grade plastics, especially Acrylic. They supply global, blue-chip customers in industries including life sciences, medical devices and industrial applications with solutions including fluidic manifolds and optical components. They are implementing a significant growth programme supported by a pipeline of business expansion with new and existing clients.
The Role:
They are looking for a final finisher / fabricator to join their experienced team with key tasks in the following areas:
- Visual inspection of medial components to identify any defective parts
- De-burring parts
- Accurately inserting metal inserts
- Cleaning and finishing components to a very high standard
- Packing components for dispatch
- Fabrication of medical components
The Candidate:
The position is suitable for someone who is good with their hands at detailed tasks, with a good eye for detail and ability to work in a clean and tidy manner. You need to work well as part of a team, managing your own work-load whilst coordinating with your team and supervisor. There is also scope to progress within the company, for example, working on more complex fabricated parts.
Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Some experience in a manufacturing/production type environment
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow defined processes and procedures.
- Hands on, practical approach.
- Positive, problem solving attitude
Desirable
- Some engineering background
- Working with plastics
- Fabrication, detailed assembly work
