Job Title: HR Advisor

Location: Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Full time, Fixed term Contract (6 months)

The role:

As part of our business growth plans and continuous improvement, we are looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor with generalist HR background and HRIS systems experience to deliver an exceptional service to employees. You’ll be supporting our recent HRIS implementation as well as supporting line managers with employee matters, HR projects, training co-ordination and day to day HR enquiries. The role will be based at our Head Office in West Malling in Kent and will be for an initial 6 month fixed term contract. Hybrid working options available 2-3 days per week from home.

Candidate Profile:

Our ideal candidate will hold a CIPD qualification and have extensive commercial HR experience ideally gained within the insurance or loss adjusting sector. Experience of HRIS systems and a solid understanding of employment law is essential within this rewarding role. You’ll also be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering results, supporting employees within a HR remit and managing key stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the HR Manager with internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department
  • Updating and maintaining the HR Information System data
  • Recommending any HR system improvements to workflow for better efficiencies
  • Develop and run HRIS systems reports for the HR and management teams
  • Consulting on issues related to employee relations, absence and performance management
  • Compiling and maintaining employee records, including holiday and sickness leave
  • Assisting with payroll and employee compensation and benefits enquiries
  • Supporting HR-related training programmes
  • Write and present information briefings on HRIS, absence management and other related topics
  • Supporting HR related meetings and coordinating management-employee communications
  • Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency

You will have / be:

  • Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards
  • Solid understanding and experience of HRIS administration and workflow
  • Employee relations experience to advisor level on various HR related topics
  • Payroll and benefits experience
  • The ability to work with discretion and manage sensitive conversations
