Job Title: HR Officer – Maternity Cover

Salary: £23,000 – £26,000 pro rata (£11,880 – £13,430)

Location: Fordingbridge, Hampshire

Job Type: Part time, Maternity Cover (19.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

About the role:

We are looking for an HR Officer to provide maternity cover for a period of up to 12 months, working 19.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will provide confidential HR and recruitment operational support to both managers and employees, referring more complex issues to the Personnel Manager.

You will assist with all recruitment, including posting job adverts, reviewing applicants and arranging interviews. You will prepare all new starter paperwork including offer letters, contracts and inductions, ensure pay review paperwork is up to date and processed and be responsible for recording all absence and overtime each month in preparation for payroll. You will update all actions on the personnel system, PeopleHR and keep managers informed of any impending reviews.

About you:

You must be highly organised and have good attention to detail combined with the ability to manage your own time, balance a variety of responsibilities and prioritise tasks. You should be a great communicator and able to build rapport quickly whilst understanding the importance of discretion and confidentiality. Experience of working in a similar HR role would be advantageous. Additionally, if you are available immediately or on very short notice, that would be beneficial.
