The Company is a luxury cloth merchant, operating in over 70 international markets, with a head office and warehouse function based in Peebles, just south of Edinburgh. The Company is currently looking for a full time IT Support Engineer to join the team.
The Role:
They are looking for a flexible and multi-disciplined individual to join their IT Team as a Support Engineer based at their warehouse in Peebles, Scottish Borders. The role will be varied and will include:
- 1st and 2nd line support for local and remote users
- Hardware setup and provisioning
- Helping to manage and maintain current systems
- Data Analysis
- Ad-hoc Reporting
The Candidate:
Skills and experience
- Provision of high quality IT End User Support with 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Confident and clear communication with staff at all levels
- In-depth knowledge of the following technologies
- Microsoft Windows 7 and 10
- Microsoft Server 2012, 2016, 2019
- Microsoft Exchange 2016
- Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
- Networking including switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi, firewalls and VPNs
- Office software
- Knowledge of Telephony and mobile device setup desirable but not essential

- Educational qualification in an IT discipline
- Excellent team working skills
- Motivated to work independently and to the highest standards

- Enthusiastic and well organised
