Job Title: Labourer

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Competitive

Job type: Permanent, Full time

Innovation Group manages critical incidents in the car and home on behalf of the world’s leading insurers, brokers and fleet managers, together with warranty and service plan provision for many OEMs and automotive dealerships, globally. We aim to continually go beyond expectations for our clients and their customers. Each year we process over four million insurance claims, saving leading insurers tens of millions of pounds.

The Role

You will be joining our team of Leak Detection and Repair Specialists (find and fix), using specialised leak detection equipment that limits damage to our customer’s property. The majority of your work will be with our domestic customers, often they are unaware of water leaks until they are informed by the Water companies, and we step in to locate and repair the leak.

You may need to excavate and repair the water service and pipes, with minimal disruption to the customer, following your initial detection of the leak. We aim to complete all work on the first visit. Our promise to customers is that we will accurately locate the water leak to one square meter, so any excavation is to a minimum when the pipes are repaired. This is the challenge of the role.

  • To wear correct PPE for all tasks
  • To follow all Risk and COSHH Assessments and instructions provided in tool box talks
  • To tidy and maintain site depot as required
  • Any other duties that may reasonably be requested by the Team Leader or Manager

  • Self-motivation and ability to use initiative
  • Strong work ethic and flexible attitude
  • Passion for good customer service
  • Ability to demonstrate friendly professionalism with customers and clients
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
