You will be responsible for:

  • Carry out credit checks/CallML checks
  • A copy of the credit report detailing any outstanding debt, payment history and electoral roll detail is to be printed for the file
  • Collate/print all relevant documents – FCA register, Law Society, Cascade, CSR4 prints for Solicitors and Introducers, Right Move prints
  • Input case to stage 00. Case entered into Activate system to log initial receipt.
    Complete progress form. Progress form details account number, product, repayment type, case owner etc.
  • Contact customer to secure payment of any mortgage/valuation fee. Fee payment taken by card over the telephone
  • General check of all information. Case passed to Mortgage Underwriter for full assessment
  • Following case assessment by Mortgage Underwriter – Complete relevant section of mortgage progress form- progress form to be updated when information received
  • Inputting case details – customer, property, broker, solicitors etc. into Activate taking case form stage 00 to stage 25 ensuring all relevant information is recorded correctly
  • Print valuation report – pass to mortgage underwriter for checking. Once received instruct LMS (Solicitors)
  • Ensuring all required references/outstanding information – employers, accountants, lending to retired are requested and received – passed to mortgage underwriter for checking
  • Preparing file for Mortgage underwriters. Once all above received file to be taken to stage 25 and passed to Underwriting
  • Answering telephone enquiries regarding mortgage pipeline case and general mortgage policy questions

An ability to provide excellent customer service is essential alongside a passion to do more and enjoy both the challenges and rewards that come from these interactions.

They are looking for their next team members to have a good standard of general education, be aware of Society policy and products, mortgage regulation, good communication skills, ability to deal with queries, problem solve and have a willingness to work some Saturday mornings.

You will have?

  • Grade C or above – Maths & English or a level of previous mortgage knowledge
  • CeMap qualified or willing to undertake qualification
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate, ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A good understanding of the Society’s credit risk management policy and product restrictions
