Job Title: Medical Writer / Science Communicator

Location: London

Salary: £44,000 – £51,000 per annum + 10% company bonus

Job type: Full time, hybrid working (part remote, part in office)

The Role

Enzyme Communications is looking for an experienced and motivated Science Communicator (medical writer) to join our team. This is a full time role, perfect for someone looking for a new challenge.

The successful candidate will have detailed and demonstrable experience of working in an agency environment and servicing healthcare and biotechnology clients. This role includes understanding complex and detailed therapy areas, working across omnichannel deliverables and regularly interacting with clients. To succeed in the role, you must enjoy being creatively and intellectually challenged, be comfortable with pace and working in a high-performance team, as well as being a confident and capable presenter.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Regular interactions with clients (in partnership with Account Management staff)
  • Development of high-quality and accurate medical and scientific content with ability to adapt style and approach across multiple audiences and channels
  • Development of strategies to meet communications objectives for a wide variety of audiences
  • Work with the creative and accounts teams to create ‘consumability from complexity’ with ultimate responsibility for accuracy and quality of content and story flows

Key Requirements:

Candidates must have the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in an agency environment, for example as a planner or medical writer
  • Post-graduate qualification(s) in biomedical sciences or similar
  • Excellent data communication skills
  • Experience interacting with clients
  • Be self-motivated, passionate and a good communicator
  • Detailed proficiency with ABPI or other international codes of conduct

Candidates with the following additional skills and experience will be viewed favorably:

  • Management experience
  • Pitch experience
  • Experience working with/within healthcare or biotechnology company
  • Experience presenting and running workshops and meetings
