Job Title: Nursery Supervisor
Location: Southampton, Hampshire, SO32
Salary: £8 -10 an hour (Full Time) Monday – Friday
Job type: Permanent, Full time
The company currently have a vacancy for a Supervisor to support the Nursery Manager with the production of growing hardy nursery stock, both in containers and open ground field production. The candidate will also be required to support the Manager with the day to day running of the nursery site.
Key Responsibilities:
Nursery:
- Growing Experience
- Plant Knowledge – To Help Identify and Pick Out Orders for Internal & External Customers
- Pruning, Shaping & Spacing Plants
- Monitoring Plant Health & Quality
- General Maintenance
Other Duties:
- Assist with the Day To Day Running of the Nursery
- Stock Control
- Organising Deliveries
- To pick up and deliver stock to site when needed
- Dealing with Customers Requests
- Sales & IT Experience
- Operating the Till
- Adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety procedures
Key Skills:
- Experience of Working in a Nursery/or Horticulture Qualification Desired
- PA1/PA6 Spraying Licence/Qualification
- Extensive Plant Knowledge
- Driving Licence
- Experience of Growing Hardy Nursery Stock
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Sales and Customer Focused
- Computer Literate
