At ESM we manage the design and build of exhibition spaces to create an engaging and memorable stand for our clients and their brand. All work is undertaken in house at our Kent headquarters by our experienced team who have been working on exhibition stands and trade fairs for a number of years, bringing both expertise and the latest trends to every project.
We produce some genuinely beautiful work; working on some fantastic projects for a number of agencies, but also a large volume of work for exhibitors looking to stand out at their events predominantly in the UK.
Our staff are tremendously proud of what we do, and this is a great chance to join a team that set the highest of standards and help us further improve the service we provide to our clients.
ESM are seeking someone who is first and foremost experienced in the carpentry and joinery trade with experience in estimating at the briefing stage to help prepare pitches and tenders to facilitate company wins with a view to maximising profit.
Each project requires estimating prior to submission to the client. This will include refining spreadsheets and data templates to assist with accurate costing moving forward as well as liaising with sub-contractors and trusted businesses within our supply chain.
Project management skills would be a distinct advantage and a working knowledge of joinery and carpentry techniques is a must.
The successful candidate would be trained to contribute and assist with progressing each project via setting out in a draughtsperson role via Solidworks, and potentially project management where workflow dictates.
This is a multi-facetted role within a growing business, which demands a candidate with flexibility, drive, ambition, and a willingness to learn new skills. Someone who would enjoy becoming critical to the needs of the business in a range of areas from estimating at the sales stage to contributing to the production phase, to managing projects through to completion based on the requirements of the business at any given time.
The ideal candidate would have a technical production management background with a solid grasp of carpentry and joinery techniques perhaps having progressed, or looking to progress from the shop floor.
They should be proficient with numbers, basic mathematics, and spreadsheets (Microsoft excel). They should be organised, a planner, with good time management and able to work to deadlines and communicate progress working against targets.
