Job Title: Receptionist / Sales Admin Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and charismatic to join us at Tendercare Nurseries based in Denham, Middlesex. One of the leading suppliers of specimen plants in the UK for over 30 years, we are continuing expansion of the business and are excited to be recruiting for several new roles

The Role:

Based in our newly redeveloped garden shop/glasshouse, you will be the first point of contact and provide a welcoming greeting service for our customers, answering enquiries and directing them to the correct members of our team who will assist our customers in finding exactly what they need to transform their home and gardens. Tendercare offer a variety of garden design and landscaping services about which you will advise our customers of, passing relevant enquiries to our Design Services and Landscape Teams who will then follow them up.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for the presentation of the reception and outdoor living area you will use your creativity and flair to set up and maintain our displays and for the merchandising and replenishment of our products.

About you:

You will have the overall responsibility for cashing up at the end of each day, to include the credit card machine, closing routines and some administration tasks.

The position would suit someone with an RHS qualification or who would like to train for a career in horticulture.

Required Skills/Qualifications (Essential):

  • A demonstrable interest in garden plants.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated and a strong team player.
  • Good telephone manner and customer facing skills.
  • Good communication, attention to detail with presentation and pricing of products.
  • Accuracy with figures Previous retail experience.
  • Administration experience (in house training will be provided as needed).
