Job Title: RF Engineer
Location: Shipley, West Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 DOE
Hours: Full Time, Permanent or Contract
The Company are seeking key individuals to join the existing test teams engaged in the production of advanced electronics systems and integrated end to end RF & microwave solutions for the Defence, Space and Security markets.
They are looking for a number of RF Engineers to join their existing Engineering team in both Contractor and Permanent roles. In these roles you will assist with the RF converter design and integration for one of our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the RF converter design and integration in conjunction with the Project team throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure that the product requirement is completely captured, and planned as a series of engineering tasks
- Perform detailed design and development to required frequency levels
- Be responsible for the achievement of the requirements, including cost objectives as detailed within the Customer order documents
- Maintain visibility of the design approach and ensure through review that the implemented design will meet the product requirement
The Successful Candidate will have/ be:
- Extensive experience in the development of microwave components and subsystems or systems for Aerospace, defence or space products
- Experience of Design analysis and development of RF frequency converters & Amplifiers in frequency range DC-2GHz (min)
- Detailed knowledge of spurious analysis, linearity and frequency response
- Experience of design for manufacture & cost to a high level
- Experience of software defined Radio desirable
- Knowledge of good engineering processes and practices
- Good communication skills – able to understand and report tasks, risks etc
- Team working – both with peers and support staff
- Security clearable up to SC level
