The Role

They’re looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager to assume ownership for all areas of regulatory compliance across the business.

Applicants should have previous compliance experience within the insurance industry. They will have good knowledge of FCA standards and be confident in working with a range of stakeholders, from brokers, to claims professionals and director level. They will have proven experience of working autonomously and be able to demonstrate a track record of providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Client, third party and internal audits and due diligence for new and existing relationships relating to the business compliance
  • Support and provide expert knowledge in all aspects of Business Continuity, Information Security, GDPR, and all related regulatory compliance matters
  • Overall responsibility for Health & Safety compliance across the business, identifying any contravention of regulations and advising the Managing Director of any such breach
  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
  • Review and monitor processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency
  • Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
  • Review the work of colleagues against client needs to identify compliance issues and / or process issues and provide advice / recommend training
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a compliance manager
  • Experience in Loss adjusting or Insurance industry
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry standards and regulations
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to report and analyse data
  • A positive attitude and a proactive approach to solving problems
  • Team player
  • Ability to be flexible when required
