Job Title: Senior SEO Project / Account Manager

Location: Altrincham, Cheshire

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Job type: Permanent, Full time

The company is looking for an ambitious SEO Project / Account Manager to manage elements of clients’ search engine optimisation activities.

You will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as technical code implementations (WordPress, Shopify, Magento), content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on Google.

If you can – fix and implement code improvements in WordPress, tell the difference between a good link / bad link and are comfortable speaking to clients occasionally, this is an amazing opportunity for you!

This is a busy role that requires a high level of organisation, diligence and attention to detail. The successful candidate will need to hit the ground running.

Key Duties:

  • Carry out keyword research to support new client pitches and existing client SEM campaigns
  • Conduct on-site and off-site SEO competitor analysis
  • Help to execute on-site and off-site SEO strategies for a range of clients in a number of industries
  • Complete weekly and monthly performance reports using programs such as DataStudio, Google Analytics and SEMrush
  • Conduct on-site and off-site SEO audits for client sites on a monthly basis
  • Help to contribute to the company blog and other external communications
  • Guide the content team to produce SEO-friendly content
  • Keep up to date with the latest SEO technology, Google updates and industry changes

The Candidate:

  • Significant previous experience in SEO – they’ll want to see your successes
  • A good understanding of all aspects of on-site and off-site SEO
  • Experience using Google Webmaster Tools, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
  • Experience using 3rd party SEO software suites
  • Familiarity with other aspects of digital marketing
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent copywriting and reporting skills
  • Analytical mindset
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
  • Agency background preferable
  • A can-do attitude
  • Strong time management skills
  • A good team player
