Job Title: Transport Customer Services Assistant

Location: Harlow

Salary: £18,500 – £22,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Position: Full Time, Permanent (45 hours per week)

The Company currently have a position available for a Transport Customer Services Assistant to join their busy customer service team. They are rapidly expanding and are looking for a motivated individual to help increase their customer base so if you are driven and committed to success, they want to hear from you!

Role Overview:

Your role will be to handle all inbound calls and customer service enquiries. This can be telephone or email and can be to advise ETA’s, confirming delivery dates and times or complaining because of an issue they have with a current order or delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct support for the routing team assisting will all customer queries
  • Liaising with domestic and commercial customers to provide ETA’s using their tracking software
  • Completing Booking in forms for future deliveries
  • Dealing with customer complaints/issues
  • Advising both drivers and clients of any potential issues that arise and problem solving accordingly
  • Assisting with the warehouse team, communicating with the different departments to ensure all deliveries are executed as quickly and efficiently as possible

The successful Candidate will have/ be:

  • Prior experience in a customer service role
  • Being able to work under pressure and adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Have strong analytical skills, data entry and general administration experience
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, take initiative, work independently and deal with situations
  • Excellent telephone manner and able to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Have strong Planning, prioritising and organisation skills
