Job Title: Weekend Class 1 Driver / Supervisor (forklift experience essential) – 2 Vacancies

Location: Milton Park, Abingdon

Salary: Competitive + Performance Bonus after qualifying period

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 38 hours over 4 days. Working 2 x 12 hour days on Saturday & Sunday (06:00-18:00) plus two weekdays; either Monday (08:00-17:00) and Tuesday (08:00-17:00) or Thursday (08:00-17:00) and Friday (09:00-18:00) all shifts include one hour unpaid break.

The Company is based in Milton Park, Abingdon and is currently recruiting for a weekend Class 1 Driver & Supervisor with Warehouse experience to join their team (Forklift experience is essential). The company prides itself on high quality service delivery; providing comprehensive and customised logistics solutions at all stages of the supply chain and are looking for candidates who are able to meet the same high standards.

These are interesting and varied roles that combine hands-on logistics work with Class 1 driving duties within a small team. You will be responsible for receiving and handling goods at the warehouse in Milton Park, checking and safely loading your vehicle, transporting goods to local customer sites and off-loading goods before returning to Milton Park.

The logistics operation supports medical equipment production with a focus on quality and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a clean Class 1 (C+E) licence and be an experienced forklift operator within a logistics or warehouse environment. Experience of operating an Indoor crane, checking and booking goods manually or using hand-held scanners would be beneficial.

A professional customer focused outlook is essential together with good written and verbal communication skills and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a small team and be able to safely follow set processes after initial training.

Essential Requirements:

  • A clean and valid UK Driving Licence with CE entitlement
  • Up to date Driver CPC card
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Forklift truck licence (preferably counterbalance and reach)
  • A desire to meet customer expectations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
