Salary: FTE £17,357 – £20,151 depending on experience

Hours:
- Term Time: 2.30pm – 9.30pm
- School Holidays: 12.30pm – 7.30pm

We are an Independent Prep School for children aged 2½ – 13 years situated in 300 acres of woodland, with excellent facilities and a caring family atmosphere. You will be joining a thriving prep school in the heart of Sussex with a friendly, hardworking and supportive team.
We are currently looking for a Caretaker/Porter to supervise and service the use of facilities in the evening by outside ensuring that grounds and premises are clean, safe and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring visitors/contractors on site
- Securing buildings at the end of the day
- Setting up rooms, chapels and School events
- Ensuring that the premises are clean, safe and welcoming
- Carrying out minor maintenance works
Depending on your specific role you will need the following:
- Approachable, friendly and professional with the ability to relate well to children and adults
- Have a professional manner and approach
- Be responsible, flexible and reliable with a sound understanding of safeguarding children and health & safety issues
