What is an Events Manager?

The ORCHA team speaks at conferences around the world every day of the week – in person and virtually. You will secure speaking slots and manage the team’s schedule and presentations to ensure this programme runs smoothly. ORCHA also has a successful series of innovation zones at conferences around the world. With the support of an experienced team, you will help manage the activities needed to ensure they are a success.

Working from our Daresbury head office but with the flexibility to work from home also.

Key Duties

  • To assist the marketing and communications team in the delivery of projects and campaigns in line with the marketing strategy to help reach company goals and objectives.
  • Securing speaker slots at healthcare and technology conferences.
  • Developing compelling content for the team’s presentations.
  • Managing the busy speaker schedule for our exec team.
  • Running ORCHA webinars.
  • Supporting the social media manager by supplying compelling copy and visuals for the conferences.
  • Research and create a plan for the best conferences we should exhibit at.
  • Project managing our events, liaising with conference organisers and technology companies who will be featuring on our stand.
  • Tracking the impact and ROI of events.

What do you need to be successful for the role?

  • A graduate with a 1st or 2:1 university degree – all disciplines welcome
  • At least 1 year’s experience in a marketing agency role.
  • Oversee the events strategy
    • Create an events calendar and approach for each audience: national decision makers, healthcare providers & suppliers (developers and pharma), across UK, US & Europe.
    • Within this, identify which events ORCHA will create, participate in, present at or attend.
    • Manage events to successfully meet each event’s goals.
  • Create a speaking platform target list and successfully place ELT and SLT on these platforms.
  • The ability to work well within a team and individually, using your initiative and autonomy
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • A committed work ethic, with enthusiasm to develop your skills and a drive to learn
  • Attention to detail with an enquiring mind
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
