Job Title: Head of E-Commerce

Location: The role can based in Dundee or Remotely

Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum dependant on experience

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Role Overview:

As Head of Ecommerce you will help them transform our approach to the way they do business and help our mindset shift and mature into an ecommerce led business.

As an experienced manager, working closely with other business leaders, you will have the opportunity to influence the shape and growth of them. You will lead a team of specialists to offer our users an unrivalled and compelling experience, improving traffic, conversion and ultimately revenue!

To succeed, you will need an engaging approach, using your data driven mindset to sell a compelling narrative that drives change. Balanced with strong technical skills and expertise including analytics, SEO and merchandising.

This role would be suitable for someone currently in an e-commerce management position looking to take full ownership of an online store. It could also be suitable to a Product Owner who would like to transition to the business side by evidencing excellent business acumen

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and optimise our online conversion path
  • Bring structure to the team and empower them to optimise and scale
  • Build and own a prioritised backlog of ecommerce projects, spanning across UX, SEO, merchandising
  • Contribute to forecasting and join our management team in shaping the future
  • Generate ideas and take all initiatives to improve our ecommerce revenue
  • Manage our performance marketing efforts (1 direct report)
  • Lead our CRM /retention to drive our customers back to the shop, 2 direct reports
  • Drive our site optimisation work, managing 1 direct report and collaborating closely with our in-house technology team
  • Build and own reporting on site performance – leverage our state-of-the-art reporting tools and find support in our data and business intelligence to solve challenges!
  • Stay up to date and share ecommerce and marketing technology trends

The successful Candidate will have:

  • A successful track record within a sizeable e-commerce / online retail environment
  • Experience within a customer-centric business
  • The ability to make an impact quickly through the mastery of agile / lean planning
  • An in-depth understanding of ecommerce and marketing technology
  • The drive to build, upskill and empower your team
  • A data driven mindset and numerical abilities
  • People management experience (6 direct and indirect reports)
