Job Title: Management Accountant

The Role
D&S Appliances Ltd is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for our domestic appliance business. We are a rapidly growing business with the Head Office based in Ilfracombe, servicing Corporate Clients across London.
Key Duties:
- Work with management team to create forecasts and budgets
- Provide monthly reporting on Actual vs Budget
- Assist in forecasting processes and forecast to the management team
- Undertake monthly balance sheet reconciliations to verify accounting accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance is maintained at all times
- Assistant in statutory account preparation and taxation computations
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
- Management of company payroll and employee expenses accounts.
- Work with Development team to ensure any financial development needs are planned into release schedules and prioritised.
- Ensure all Client Accounts are up to date, creating statements of Account, the accounts team to assist with this.
- Ensure remittances are received and actioned by accounts assistant.
- Working with outside accountant to prepare company accounts.
- Reporting to Finance Director
About you:
- ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified, candidates currently working towards this qualification will also be considered.
- 2-3 years experience producing monthly management accounts is essential
- Experience of preparing and/or reviewing statutory accounts
- Experience of preparing and/or reviewing tax calculations
- Excellent Excel skills are essential and a good grasp of computers and technology
- Experience in using computer based accounting systems is essential, preferably Quickbooks online and / or training with us fully on Quickbooks as our main Accounts system which is linked to our customised orders and invoicing systems.
- Ability to work as part of a proactive member of a passionate and supportive finance and management team, with the ability to also drive your own self-motivation when working alone.
Candidates with previous experience and job titles of; Management Accountant, AAT, Accountant, Chartered Accountancy, Accounts Manager, Qualified Accountant, Group Accountant, Financial Controller, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW will be considered for this role.
