Job Title: Professional Services Consultant

Location: Wokingham, Berkshire, RG41 2FD

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000, dependent upon experience

Position: Full Time, Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Professional Services Consultant to join PRISYM ID based in Wokingham, Berkshire.

PRISYM ID provide the leading regulated content, artwork design and label management software designed specifically for the medical device, clinical trial and pharmaceutical market. We number many of the world’s top ten Medical Device manufacturers and numerous large pharmaceutical companies among our clients. PRISYM ID has built its solutions on many years of experience serving the sectors and is a thought leader in the space.

About the role:

This individual will provide customers with technical leadership in the end-to-end delivery of our core and customer specific software systems.

The position requires the ability to execute projects independently and to implement high-quality technical solutions based on industry best-practices and complex business and technical requirements.

The delivery of these solutions will include the gathering, documentation and analysis of clients’ business/functional requirements, system design and configuration, remote and on-site implementation, user training and go-live support.

The focus market for delivery of systems will be validated Life Science clients in the US and Europe in a Business to Business sales environment.

The role will also include formal system validation activities which follow the GAMP V-model. This will include onsite installation qualifications (IQ), and operation qualifications (OQ).

The role will include international travel.

Job Duties:

  • Client relationship establishment and management throughout the course of proposal development and delivery of professional services
  • Remote and onsite requirements gathering/documentation/analysis, solution and system design, installation and configuration, system testing and training in validated environments in Europe
  • Assisting our users in the understanding, implementation, configuration and validation of global labelling solutions from pre-sales to requirements
  • Building and configuring of systems (cloud and/or on-premise) for internal testing and proof of concept using Microsoft Windows servers and clients
  • Helping to document best practices in developing and deploying PRISYM 360 solutions and feed them into our knowledge base
  • Work with the Professional Services organization to maintain both company and department goals

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

System delivery:

  • Solid experience of system installations at customer sites (MS Windows or VMWare) and onsite consultancy
  • Strong practical Windows systems administration and Database Administration skills (MSSQL)
  • Familiarity with systems management concepts, processes and standards (e.g. SNMP); and capacity/performance management and tuning.
  • A good practical understanding of Web-based application development, including IIS server platforms.
  • Experience of requirements gathering and mapping to software capabilities
  • A confident approach to system training for end users
  • Strong experience of system testing and troubleshooting issues prior to go-live
  • The ability to balance the demands of multiple clients simultaneously

Solution Background:

  • Demonstrable background in Life Sciences Validated environments
  • Experience with ERP, MES, PLM or similar systems also considered

Documentation skills:

  • Excellent ability in authoring technical documentation (i.e. Functional Specifications – FS, installation scripts, training materials) clearly and concisely with a good level of quality
  • Strong critical reading skills for reviewing peer and client documents

Communication & personal skills:

  • Excellent consultancy traits with ability to facilitate technical, requirements, and regulatory discussions with groups of technical, business and operations staff
  • Strong customer liaison, communications and influencing abilities
  • Excellent presentation techniques
  • Ability to gather and digest diagnostic information, recommend solutions
  • Willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to ensure customer success and satisfaction
  • Ability to travel to client sites when needed

Qualifications needed for the role:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Administrator level experience in Microsoft Windows
  • DBA level experience in Microsoft SQL (Oracle is a plus)

Desirable:

  • Experience in web service implementation, both SOAP and REST
  • Experience of one or more on-premise / SaaS packaged solutions for ERP, CRM, MES or PLM solutions
