Job Title: Project Engineer – Packaging

Salary: £35,000 plus car

Location: Ascot, Berkshire – SL5 7JR (will require travel to clients site)

The Company is a leading international Food & Beverage engineering consultancy company with its head office in Copenhagen, Denmark. They have more than 2,200 employees and offices in 23 countries. Their UK offices are in Ascot, Cambridge, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Their target market is companies that work within the FMCG field and who require tailor made solutions in areas like logistics, process, packaging optimisation, and production operations. They work with major clients in the Brewery, Dairy, Soft Drinks, Spirits and Food sectors; providing them with consultancy services, project management, and turnkey solutions.

The Role:

They are looking to recruit a full-time Project Engineer specialising in Packaging, working in a team within the company on behalf of their customers, predominantly in the food industry. The role will be based at the office in Ascot, with travel required in the UK and aboard (short spells only).

This role would suit an Apprentice with time served or a candidate with an HNC/HND in Electro Mechanical, with experience in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent time to join as the business is expanding and the individual will have development opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering packaging solutions within their various projects
  • Member of the team who implements state-of-the-art packaging equipment & technology
  • Carry out design and feasibility studies to meet client capex plans
  • Prepare engineering specifications and technical documentation

The Candidate:

  • Proficiency in using Auto Cad as a draft and designing tool
  • Preferred background, working in the Food and Beverage (FMCG) i.e. bottling, PET, carton, can, keg/cask or Manufacturing industry.
  • Able to work in a team and on own initiative
  • IT literate in the use of Office including Word, Excel & Project
  • An enquiring mind, willing to learn
  • Experience of health and safety requirements and risks associated with FMCG or manufacturing sites.
  • Client facing and interaction skills
  • Written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • To be flexible, positive accurate and proactive
  • Skills to demonstrate commitment to company and client standards
