Job Title: Sales Executive

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum dependent on experience

Location: Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire

Position: Full Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

The Company is a long-established small specialist company based in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire and through expansion is seeking a dynamic and energetic Sales Executive to join the team.

The Role:

The role is primarily office based with occasional days working from home if required. The opportunity is a career opportunity with good training and lots of potential within a growing company.

The role is to champion sales within the company and help locate opportunities within the existing customer database and present a well-structured, informative and grammatically perfect written proposal. There is a small flow of inbound calls and e-mail or web enquiries, which will be your responsibility together with a business development person cold calling and generating new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calling from a list of existing and potential customers
  • Generating quotations for existing and potential customers
  • Producing full written proposals
  • Answering invitations to tender
  • Liaising with a very small base of sub-contractors where necessary to secure quotations
  • Communicating with their Key Clients to maintain a relationship
  • Proactively assisting the Managing Director with sales support and co-ordination
  • Assist with social marketing

Key Requirements:

  • Competence with Customer Relationship Management databases
  • Excellent level of Customer service experience
  • Sales experience to the school sector beneficial but not essential
  • Outbound telephone sales experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Systematic and disciplined analytical approach
  • Ability to proactively manage own workload and be a self-starter
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Methodical and thorough approach to work
  • A great team player
  • A desire to show initiative
  • Used to a fast-paced office environment
